We had fun bringing up-to-snuff this wonderful example of the golden era of pro-sumer tape recorders. Replaced the meter and recording lamps...a total of three. We contact cleaned where possible, dusted and lubricated the parts that require it. This is a stand-alone model...not pulled from a console. We tested all features except the microphone input. Sorry to admit we couldn't find a 1/16" adaptor with which to mic-up. But we did test recording using the RCA Inputs and receiver FM Stereo signal (shown in the photos). This unit is about as clean as they come. ALMOST MINT...w/very few minor scratches (see photos). It comes as shown in the photos with six NEW Sony blank cassettes. Had we been better prepared we'd have replaced the band during maintenance but there is the possibility it was replaced not long ago. This unit belonged to an audiophile serious about his equipment. It was used regularly up until just five years ago. We just sold a pair of his Revox R2Rs. We know we have a 1/16-1/4 adapter here in the shop somewhere. When we find it, we will test the mic-ins and update the listing.
