POSITION Overview:
Are you interested in shaping the educational experience for K-8 students? As a Curriculum Writer, you will be responsible for aligning curriculum materials with programmatic needs and designing engaging content focusing on Literacy, Math, and Science.
Your expertise will be crucial in developing grade-level appropriate lessons that adhere to Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.
Additionally, you will ensure consistency and coherence across materials by formatting lessons using our Middle Tree Lesson Guide and Lesson Plan Template.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Align current curriculum materials with programmatic needs and project designs.
Develop grade-level appropriate lessons aligned with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Format lessons using Middle Tree's Lesson Guide and Lesson Plan Template for consistency.
Create supplementary materials such as worksheets, activities, or assessments to enhance student learning and engagement.
Apply Middle Tree's Pedagogical approach to curriculum design by integrating research-based instructional strategies.
Develop curriculum at-a-glance and scope and sequence documents for coherent unit planning.
Collaborate with the Education Director and Programs team to revise curriculum materials and ensure alignment with program goals.
Utilize Middle Tree's data reporting structure to generate pre- and post-assessments for ongoing evaluation of student progress.
Identify and maintain a database of curriculum resources to support student engagement and learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, Curriculum Development, or related field (or currently enrolled in a relevant program).
Strong understanding of educational standards, including Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, and Monday.
com or Asana a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
